Moss Report on Breast Cancer

Alternative & Conventional Breast Cancer Treatments (2019 Update)

What’s New In 2019 Moss Report on Breast Cancer?

The Moss Report on Breast Cancer has been thoroughly updated and revised for 2019. This is no dry medical text. It is written for patients in language that lay people can understand. We cover all aspects of breast cancer treatment, including such “alternative” treatments as cannabis, vitamin C, medicinal mushrooms, etc.

As always, Moss Reports focuses on practical information that you can use in your battle with breast cancer. For 2019 we include a discussion of these “hot” topics:

  • The Use of Acupuncture for Joint Pain
  • Can You Safely Avoid Chemo? (Or, What the TailorX Trial Really Told Us)
  • Introduction of the new CDK4/6 Inhibitors drugs
  • A New drug, Ribociclib (Kisqali®) and the combo of Tecentriq + Abraxane
  • The Effect of Obesity on Breast Cancer
  • The New Japanese Drug “DS-8201a”
  • The Role of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Breast Cancer

Can immune checkpoint drugs be used in breast cancer? Who is likely to benefit? You may have heard that James P. Allison, PhD, of Houston won the 2018 Nobel Prize for his discovery of immune checkpoint inhibitors. This is an important new class of medications. Less known is the fact that he is currently working on combining these drugs with cancer-killing viruses. But this overall approach—still only dreamed of in the United States—is already available at several foreign clinics.  These are discussed in the 2019 updated Moss Report on Breast Cancer.

One of the most significant advances of recent years has been the development and FDA approval of an anti-cancer virus vaccine, The 2019 Moss Report on Breast Cancer discusses this new medicine and its associated clinical trials.

Breast Cancer Treatment

This 500+ page report features a comprehensive discussion of the treatment and prevention of breast cancer – from the best techniques of radiation and chemotherapy to the latest complementary and alternative (CAM) approaches. New this year is a discussion of how science is harnessing the immune system to fight these cancers. This includes very encouraging results with “immune checkpoint inhibitors”, such as Tecentriq®, combined with Abraxane®, which together have shown remarkable results in stage IV disease.

There is also an up-to-the-minute discussion of mammography and the diagnosis of cancer; the role of surgical margins in ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS); the optimum duration of aromatase inhibitor (AI) therapy; and the role of fulvestrant (Faslodex®) in metastatic disease.

The Table of Contents on this page is a summary only. The Moss Report on Breast cancer is over 500 pages and is packed with vital information. No patient with breast cancer should be without this invaluable resource.
